strategic khrmer region. no violence said to have taken place. the president viktor yanukovych says he will make an announcement today from russia. he hasn't been seen publicly since saturday after he fled the capital. we'll keep you posted. in a few hours from now thousands of documents locked away in the clinton presidential library will be released. the national archives will start uploading all 33,000 pages of withheld documents to his website. that is expected to take about two weeks. the documents will include confidential communications between president clinton and his top advisors and could contain information about whitewater and the monica lewinsky scandal. >> new questions today over the single deadliest day in the war in afghanistan. 30 american troops were killed when their helicopter was shot down there. a congressional hearing was held yesterday to try to get some answers on this.

the show as well as this guy, arnold schwarzenegger. lande died at his home in california. he was 81 years old. isn't that fun to see a young arnold schwarzenegger schwartz and farrah fawcett. >> it's always the guys having problems getting dates. arnold i know is home alone a lot watching his own movies. harry reid said all the problems with obamacare, all the sad stories with people who have lost their health care, high premiums, they are made up, all fictional. it makes you sit there with your jaw agape thinking is there a method to the lunacy. what was behind that? there is a lot of blow back. >> there certainly is. for instance, many people were not silently cheering when he took to the floor and called american people with the courage to stand up and tell their stories, liars. there was actually a loud response and a firestorm

that followed his remarks. there's actually one physician -- many out there, but one last night who spoke with greta who is losing her patience with the attack on patients. >> most patients are attached to their doctor. we've had long standing relationships. we don't just take of an illness. we take care of the human spirit as well. of course they're distressed and they don't enjoy the fact that they don't have freedom of choice any longer. it's very, very confusing to them. it's very distressful. they don't know where to turn. the subsequent plan that was offered by the same insurance company turned out to have a net worth that was so incredibly narrow, so restrictive where my original plan had a robust network with many, many doctors, including myself, on it. and the subsequent plan didn't have me or any of my colleagues or any of the doctors that myself, my husband and my employees

used. we didn't lose just one doctor. we lost a lot of doctors. it was horrendous. >> if harry reid wants to call somebody a liar, why doesn't he call the president of the united states a liar? i mean, the biggest lie of last year, according to phreut fact, was the fact that the president said if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. that was a lie. we know that is a lie for, what, five, ten million americans, they lost their health care. we had julie boonstra on the program talking about how she lost her health care because obamacare. harry reid is in a pickle because what he has done is he is one of the people who shoved down the country's throat this particular bill -- obamacare -- which a lot of people do not like. charles krauthammer doesn't like it and he has this observation of harry reid and his crazy horror story he's telling. >> i can't understand why harry reid would say something that he is saying

is so obviously false and it isn't as if it's hard to prove that it's false. thousands and thousands of letters and e-mails. but here's what's happening. it's hitting democrats. it's hitting independents who are losing their insurance, losing their doctor. it is like you're throwing darts at a board. it is not that people are upset about a policy but if it hits you or your family it's going to hurt you. that is why the bleeding is happening among independents and democrats. >> "the new york times" did a study and they usually don't lean towards conservative schools of thought. they say so far in this country only 6% believe obamacare is working well. in terms of who thinks there needs to be changes to the plan, 50% say there need to be changes. 42% say have a full repeal. about 2% don't know because this is such an intimate situation. there is a story today out

that shows the administration was so desperate with healthcare.gov, up until a few weeks into it the president was wondering if he had to scrap the whole website entirely and start again. that's how desperate things were. >> he should have. >> when you look at only 6% of those who would keep obamacare as is and you see the deaf ears the complaints, the hardships and the travesty that has occurred in the lives of american people, how they fall on the ears of harry reid who called them liars, it gives weight to senator ron johnson of wisconsin who said, wait a minute, it is not a surprise he said this. this is actually systemic. this is who harry reid is. is he still fit to lead? >> i don't have a whole lot of contact with senator harry reid. >> you never say anything to him? >> not a whole lot. >> does he know your name? >> i think so. >> what about other democrat senators? are they saying to you, are they embarrassed?

>> i think there are plenty of democrat senators that are being pretty dissatisfied with the way the senate has been run. if you can call it running the senate. their amendments aren't being considered. they don't really have a say in the process. basically the senate is being run by one man, that is senator harry reid. that is why we haven't done an appropriations bill, in two years haven't passed an appropriations bill. prior to that i think we got a couple of votes on amendments. prior to those we republicans had four roll call votes on amendments since july of 2013. this is in the world's greatest deliberative body. that is because of senator harry reid. >> harry reid says the people out there telling horror stories about their insurance, they are liars. it was before the election in 2012 where harry reid came out of nowhere and said he had on good authority mitt romney does not pay taxes and has not paid them in ten years and he said in addition to that mitt romney has probably committed other felonies. as it turns out mitt romney

is al qaeda on the run? >> no. it is morphing and franchising itself not only here but other areas of the world. >> the director of national intelligence admitting al qaeda is morphing, looking for new leadership. what is the status today? is it any closer to finding a new bin laden? do they need one. michael, have they replaced? are they looking to replace al-zawahiri? >> i doubt they're looking to replace al-zawahiri at this time. he's done a very good job in a very difficult situation. are they looking to the future for more leaders? absolutely. al qaeda has a long history of planning for succession because they expect people to get killed when they're fighting a super power.

so the idea that they're grooming people for leadership positions is not a surprise. it's standard operating procedure. >> your research has shown only four separate times we've tried to get al-zawahiri since bin laden's death and most are predicting a violent death for him. >> people run out of luck when they're fighting super powers. it's not going to happen tomorrow. and i think the important thing, brian, in all of this is we've tried since 1996 to take these people out one at a time and that's like trying -- the movement is enormous at the moment. in many ways bin laden died completely successful because al qaeda is important in the movement but the movement is self-perpetuating. al qaeda is part of a larger movement. it is no longer the essential vanguard. >> michael, who do you think, in terms of the core unit, who do you think is more than likely to take over? and what is the next

generation? >> there's a very talented man in yemen who is very close to bin laden, his personal secretary. he was in charge of a facility when bin laden lived there in the 90's. he's a person that's capable of doing regional and international operations. the other person i think to keep an eye on is bin laden's son hamza who has been a fighter, has been involved in combat with the taliban and other people. and when bin laden was killed, they were planning to send him away for religious training. there's been on again, off again reports that he's been killed, he hasn't been killed. but if he's out there, he has the bloodline, he has the experience and certainly he would be a reinvigorating person for the movement as a whole, not just for al qaeda. >> you believe this next generation is part of the j.v.? for example, the president

of the united states has an analogy used around his white house, here sometimes, j.v. team puts on a lakers uniform, that doesn't make them kobe bryant. is the president accurately depicting the al qaeda you know? >> the entire administration is deceitful, sir. they tell you one thing one day, they tell you the other thing. i think the important thing for the american people to do is look on a map and see where al qaeda is today and its allies as compared to 2001. the growth geographically has been enormous. the growth in manpower has been enormous. because of the arab spring, the avalanche of new weaponry has been very important to them. >> you pointed out we picked up one of the gitmo guys. we're letting these guys out at a dizzying rate as well as letting them out of afghanistan. do you think we should pull out of afghanistan right away? >> i think we should have pulled out long ago. neither mr. bush nor

point in our system. it is a dangerous point for our system to be in, and i believe that your response has to begin before this president leaves office. no one in our system goes it alone. >> we saw that and we said we know that guy. that's constitutional law professor jonathan turley. good morning to you, mr. turley. what do you mean we're at a constitutional tipping point? >> it didn't begin with president obama. there was this concentration of power, this shift of power during the bush administration. but it certainly accelerated under president obama. and the danger is that we have a system that based on this idea of three branches that are held together, an orbit. they are held together with balanced and equal powers. when one of those branches assumes greater power, it creates instability. and what you have to remember is that this is a system, this separation of powers, that was designed to protect individual rights. it's not there to protect

the institutions themselves. the framers did not want anyone to have enough power to go it alone because they could also commit great abuses. >> sure. i think in your testimony, you talked about early american presidents and how, you know, these days people go people have never been this gridlocked in our american history. that is not true. there have been gridlocked congress before and people have had to deal with it. >> you know, i'm afraid that argument is rather fallacious. the framers designed this constitution for bad periods. they lived in such a period. these are people who were actually trying to kill each other. not figuratively. they were using the alien sedition act to arrest people. you don't get much more poisonous than that. it is an excuse, part of the all is fair in love and politics approach. what people don't seem to appreciate is policies change and so do

presidents. this is not going to be our last president. those people who are silent today, they're going to have a hard time speaking up when the next president says i'm not going to enforce environmental laws or discriminate laws. they're going to find it very hard to voice opposition. >> that is why when the president in addition to the executive orders does the selective enforcement of immigration law and of the affordable care act where it's kind of like all this stuff we're supposed to do, let's not do that. let's not do that. and he's getting away with it. >> what concerned me most is to see president obama go to congress in areas like immigration and health care and be turned down and then to achieve the very same changes unilaterally. there is no greater circumvention of congress than that. it's very odd to see members, when he went to the state of the union and said i'm prepared to go it alone and to get applause. it was a particularly bizarre and weird moment. >> there are also some of his opponents who are suggesting what he's doing

noticed the trend that most conservative states seem to have gotten a lot of the money. explain why and where. >> according to the daily tracking that they do over the last year we know, for example, that americans label themselves most conservative in states like wyoming and mississippi. we are still a conservative advantage america. 14.6% of americans identify with themselves as conservative more than liberal. >> you have the ranking for most conservative. thou let's see where the money is going. >> basically we can look at states like wyoming rated first that show up in our data a gain of $1.24 billion just to a state with a very small population. i mention mississippi earlier. we have that result, as well. by contrast places that are liberal show big losses. >> we should just point out that is an important number.

>> theax rate in that state has people judging whether their quality of life will be better or worse. >> exactly right. because the price for work, the penalties we put on work at the state level is different because we have nine states like texas for example that puts no personal income tax and they show big gains. >> no income tax in florida. it is number 32. >> states like florida on the movement of income are america's biggest winner. they are looking at $10,000 a minute moving in every minute every day on average for the last 18 years coming from places like liberal states like new york. >> let's look at a few liberal states and see where that money is trending. >> we mentioned district of columbia is by contrast rated when we go back to liberal percentages we can look at those numbers, as well. we see for example the district of columbia shows up as a big

it was the kind of moment that inspired a young douglas wilder just returning from the korean war. >> i said why am i here fighting a war against people who have done nothing for me, fighting for their rights and freedoms that i don't have? i never thought it was right for the people who were representing us to be ignoring us. i don't just mean ignoring people of color. they ignored people. >> law school became his obsession. none of the law schools in virginia would admit him because of the color of his skin. instead they were willing to pay his tuition to go someplace else. >> i heard you say by forcing into select institutions it benefitted the group. how so? >> because the culture that i found was something i never would have known before. the naacp lawyers were using the

law firm facilities to practice and to get ready to argue their cases. you would have others. i was so impressed with the quality of people that i never would have had the chance to meet. >> it was an experience that resonated with him as he served in the virginia state legislature for 20 years working the halls the only way he knew how. we are there to represent the people. i have always believed of, for and by the people. it stays with me. i never forgotten it. >> he became the governor of virginia after beating the republican challenger by less than 8,000 votes. once he got to the governor's mansion he realized his state was broke and more than $2 billion in the hole. >> everybody was begging me to raise taxes, particularly in my

party. and i said we are not going to do that. >> you didn't raise taxes. you paid your bills on time. you had money saved because you had to have cut spending in order to do that. what party are you in? >> that's why there is a lot of people felt i desserted the party. >> by the end of his term he balanced the budget and created a rainy day fund to get the state through future hard times. >> i didn't tow the party line. many people say to me today you did it. now, i wasn't interested in creating a name. i was interest td in doing the very things i told you earlier, to do the best possible job. >> what is your legacy? >> mine would be that people would see that i did everything that i could with what i had. and that i tried to do just that.

yesterday president obama launched a new government initiative called my brother's keeper to help young black and hispanic men. the task ahead definitely not easy. 72% of black babies are born out of wedlock. 48% of children in single female households live in poverty. is this the government's job instead of the family's responsibility? we are joined by motivational speaker dr. brown and education expert david banks, president and ceo of the eagle academy foundation. thanks for joining us. dr. brown, is this the government's job? >> it's not necessarily the government's job to create another government program whereby we are fixing things or forcing things upon people.

government can, in fact, help people help themselves. that is what i need to hear in this initiative. i need to hear individual responsibility and personal accountability. it is a two-way street. if we are saying these young people don't know we care about them and value them we also need to hear that these young people care about being a part of society and value the opportunities that are available in society. it is a two-way street. >> david, a large component of failure has to do with failure at the family level. you have to involve the family. there has to be family. >> families are essential to any change to happen. i agree with the fact that the president said personal responsibility and accountability is a huge part. this is really the president doing what he is supposed to do. it is a call to action to people around the community, business

community, philanthropic community. there is no more important call he can make than to parents and say you have to be seriously involved in the lives of children. parents are facing all types of challenges and we have to figure out ways to help support the parents. >> dr. brown, one of the unfortunate realities in a lot of the homes of the young men there is no father figure. the dad just isn't in the picture. >> that is very, very true. we have to also understand that blood relation does not a family make. research tells us it takes one caring adult to make the difference in the life of the child. once we get to that point and start connecting young people to positive role models and positive examples and letting them know that they have personal responsibility and accountability in society and america that some of the changes that we want from them. >> david, you are hopeful even
